TELNET is the program to communicate with other hosts via the Arpanet.
There are several TELNET variations on this system:

TELNET - Plain old vanilla TELNET, using new TELNET protocol and
no display hacking. Documented in TELNET.MRC[UP,DOC].

OTN - Vanilla TELNET, but using old protocol instead of new
		protocol. See TELNET documentation.

DTN - Datamedia simulating TELNET, useful for talking to
SCORE, SUMEX, SRI, etc. See TELNET documentation.

SUPDUP - Special display TELNET to the ITS systems at MIT to
be a TV at their systems. Documented in SUPDUP.MRC[UP,DOC].

For more information about the Arpanet type HELP ARPA or HELP NETDOC, or
talk to the local Arpanet wizard, Mark Crispin (MRC).
