The EVENT command is used to notify users of coming events;
notification is given right away and then again the day before and
the day of the event. Events on Monday are advertised on Fri, Sat,
Sun and Mon; events on Sunday are advertised on Fri, Sat, and Sun.
To enter an event notice, use the command:
EVENT <date> <time>
then follow instructions (<date> is the date of the event, and <time>, which
is optional, is the time of the event).
To edit an EVENT notice, simply edit the file \NOTICE with E, being
careful not to disturb any of the message headers. If you have to change
an EVENT's date, then you must delete the old event notice (using E, say)
and put in a new notice with the correct date.
